Um.. a decade ago, kids were discouraged from using their left hands, but they wouldn’t judge you because you’re left handed or anything. I think kids were only encouraged to use their right hands because society is designed for right-handers and being left-handed just adds that little bit of extra stress.
Yeah. Didn’t they even say that they weren’t interested in learning more Korean, just because they can get by without learning more?

Unfortunately, Simon and Martina have not made any effort to assimilate themselves whatsoever.
The only person I can think of off the top of my head who has assimilated himself is probably Robert Harley? lol. I love that guy.
But it’s true. How else will you know, unless you’ve immersed and assimilated yourself in that culture?
The answer is you can’t. You can’t appreciate a culture for what it is if you’re looking at it from the outside. Because you’re always going to be stereotyping and judging, and comparing it with your own.
Well, they are what they are. Slightly close-minded foreigners offering perspectives from the outside in.
Honestly, I feel like if you didn’t grow up with a Korean family who is strictly Korean, you don’t know.
You can be delusional and think that you know everything — but all you’re doing is stereotyping and criticizing. I actually personally get extremely offended when this happens, and I’m not limiting this to Simon and Martina.
